John Mayer says Twitter is "over"

Getty Images Might as well close your Twitter accounts people. John Mayer says it's "over."

According to Contact Music, John has "revealed he is planning to cancel his account on micro-blogging website twitter because he thinks it is ''over'' as a means of communication."

And, so, all sorts of folks got mad at John and he both tweeted his apology and offered a heartfelt one, complete with tears, on stage during a concert.

I'm suspicious. There is absolutely nothing about Jennifer's speaking voice that leads me to think "Hey, I bet that girl has pipes on her!"
