Joni Mitchell, apparently not a Bob Dylan fan

Joni Mitchell Canadian folk musician Joni Mitchell has called Bob Dylan a "fake" and a "plagiarist" in an Interview with the Los Angeles Times. Yikes.

(I thought maybe it was taken out of context or a joke or something but it looks like she's pretty serious)

The interview is in regards to performance artist John Kelly, who channels Joni in his tribute show, Paved Paradise: The Art of Joni Mitchell. Joni is apparently a fan of Kelly. Of Bob Dylan, however, not so much. Here's what she had to say about him:

Bob Dylan to voice GPS system

Getty Images When I first read that Bob Dylan was in talks to provide his voice for a navigation system, my first thought was "Oh, I know! I'll make a 'no direction home' joke," but a quick web search on the story revealed that the idea wasn't a very original one. Neither was a 'Highway 61' reference.

Fortunately Bob himself chose to eschew the obvious, reaching for a Ray Charles title instead. Dylan announced on his BBC Radio 6 show, Theme Time Radio Hour -- which was street map themed that day -- that he was "talking to a couple of car companies about possibly being the voice of their GPS system."

Bob mused, "I think it would be good if you're looking for directions and you heard my voice saying something like, 'Left at the next street. No, right. You know what? Just go straight.'" (Oh, wait. Maybe that's the 'no direction home' reference.)
